About three times a year I shut down my lights and close my den door to enjoy what I consider one of the best horror movies ever. This remake of Cat People is a love letter to New Orleans... and fantastic horror story telling. Also, the sound track by Giorgio Moroder and David Bowie is simply "A" class material!
Be warned, those of you who have never seen Cat People... this movie is violent, filled with nudity, features some of the most frightening scenes of big cat interactions you'll ever see in a horror movie and tackles the theme of incest like an NFL linebacker tackling a Running Back!
But... this is unforgettable stuff that will haunt you forever!
If you are a horror movie cynic who will not project yourself back to the time this movie was produced and allow your mind to embrace the horror... well, watch something else. But if you are a true fan of the horror genre... this is a great way to spend two hours.
Just remember my warnings.
And if this YouTube clip from the movie doesn't intrigue you... nothing will.
Put on your headphones as you listen to this...
